Day One:
Up and at 'em at the ripe hour of 11 and on the road by 12:30. We were gassed, fooded, and set for smokes. From the 417 Woodroffe to the 118 in Bracebridge the trip was off to a good start. It only took us 4 hours which surprised me. We met my folks and my sister there. My dad, the hero of mine that he is, brought us a TRUCKLOAD of wood! And he does have a sweet spot up there. Two campers, nice dock, and an outdoor kitchen with a water pump and a sink.
I named the lake Lake Lady Dude, becuase Spring lake sounded a little bland. It wasnt that big. Big enough to have a sweet view, and small enough to swim across (see Day 3).
The rest of the day was fairly relaxed. We drank a little by the fire and went to bed in the early AM.

Day Two:
I shouldn't have drank the beer that i did. Given, I love KilKenny, but it didn't make me feel very good the next day.

*as i recount the events that happened up there I am a little sketchy. I may get some days mixed up* *s*

Ok.. Day two continued:
Janets coleman stove came in real handy for breakfast. I didn't partake, given the morning nausea, but it looked damn good. We headed into town for some extra things. We headed to the grocery store for some little things, the Dollar Store where i picked up sunglasses, a new hot box, and mugs for all of our hot liquid needs. Canadian Tire was somewhere in there where we ran into the most unlikely person. Kenny Fucking G! As we entered we heard a sales clerk tell another sales clerk that a famous Jazz guy was in the store. "He's still here if you wanna look for him, hes the one with the curly hair". So, forget shopping, we were on a hunt. We found his aisle, and passed by it several times trying to get a good look at this guy. We werent too sure at first. We found Janet and went back to find him again. This time to walk close enough to see it was Kenny G, without a doubt. We made eye contact, gave a nod, and hello of acknowledgement. So, with the nods and hellos i can actually say i met Kenny G. Not a great and exciting event, but cool in its own way that we mey him in a Canadian Tire in Bracebridge.

Janet made a SUPER-SCORE at CT. She bought a Cooler Float. For $12 we can bring our chilled drinks out to the middle of the lake with us! And that we did. Attached to a rope, we brought the cooler out with us, and got a good head start on the evening.
That's right, more fun ensued.
Once night fell and we were most considerable drunk (well Dan and I anyways) it was time for my first skinny dip. Good times, why hadn't I dont that before? Nothing quite like fresh lake water on my skin.
Some clean naked fun (excluding me) took place next. We took some artistic photos and the others dried their naked selves in front of the fire. (I didn't know Dan was quite the Richard Hatch)

Day Three:
No where near as hung over that morning, yet I drank twice as much. Vodka while camping from now on. We started the morning off as per the rest of the week, hot liquid, some brekkie, and a morning swim. Mid-day, Dan and I decided we needed to explore across the lake. We hopped in the paddle boat and paddled across to the rocks. Tied the boat up, and trekked on land through the worst brush I had ever trekked through. And wearing only little shorts and a beach skirt didn't make it any easier. we got on top of the rock, had a great view and sat for a bit. Dan was quite preoccupied with the getting back out. We didn't want to go back through the brush, but going the other way wasn't going to be any easier. That way included a jump down (into brush) from the rock we were on. I was terribly afraid. Wearing pants i may have been all up for it. But wearing what i was i got a huge gash/bruise from the jump. Next was the steps through the mushy boggy ground. It was gonna suck to go through it. So, we found another way. There was a little log juttung out in to the lake. That was our best solution. Walking across the log we noticed another log under the water. "That one must be real slippery" Dan said. I took three more steps and found out it was. I lost my footing and came splashing down onto it. Good times.
We got back to the boat, paddled back, and were safe. Safe from the brush, rocks, and boggy boggy mushiness.
More swimming, more smoking, and more fire.... good times

Day Four:
The last of our days in Bracebridge. It was very sombre around breakfast. We were burnt, sore, and dirty. But no where near ready to leave. We set the pool noodles free that day. They all went their own way so we could all swim out grab our respective noodles and swim back. It was hard work. I am a fairly strong swimmer, but was tired half way through. But I got there, grabbed the noodle and was good. Sure I had to swim through more boggy goodness, and touch gross logs, but the hard part was over.
I spent the rest of the day having a good sit, except when the woods called me to frolick. My sister made it up around 6, we had some burgers, and some drinks and they headed to bed fairly early. Thats alright, we were a little later, but knew we had to get up and get out in the morning. Balls, boourns, and bollacks. But the Vacation wasnt over yet.

Day Five:
We grumbled and groggily carried things to the car, played a little tetris trying to fit everything in my car (now with the seats up) with great difficulty. We were all a little grumpy, but that was to be expected. We hit Tim's and got on the road back to my parents. It was Trivia Night and Dan and I had been practicing and studying with the Who Wants to be A Millionaire game. (which did pay off). I got to see family and people I had not seen in years, which was cool, plus get to be a part of a cool little trivia night. We came in 5th, out of 9. So, not too bad. Not last.. and that makes me happy. Next year, #1!
